Kazakhstan plans to raise production of crude and condensed gas to 112 million tons a year by 2030, according to the country’s Oil Minister Uzakbai Karabalin.

“We expect the gross production of crude and condensed gas to reach 112 million tons a year by 2030; the figure stood at 81.8 million tons last year”, he said.

The Minister elaborated that crude processing will be brought up from the current 14 million tons a year to 20 million tons by 2030.

Gas production is to be brought up from the current 40 billion cubic meters to 60 billion cubic meters. He elaborated that marketable gas production would be maintained at 21-22 billion cubic meters, with the volume of gas re-injection to be brought up from the current 12 billion cubic meters to 25 billion cubic meters.

“In the 2030ies, after we have extracted most for liquid hydrocarbons at major oilfields, the marketable gas volume will be around 35-40 billion cubic meters. Some part of the volume will surely be exported”, Mr. Karabalin said.
