Kazakhstan has exported more than 5 million tons of grain since the beginning of the marketing year, Tengrinews reports citing the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan. “Between June 1, 2013, the beginning of the marketing year, and February 1, 2014 we exported around 5.3 million tons of grain, including flour in grain equivalent. It exceeds the last season's shipments by 25%, ” Kazakhstan's Ministry of Agriculture reported. In January-November 2013 Kazakhstan exported $2.4 billion worth of agricultural products. It exceeded the average annual export of the goods in 2009-2011 by 27%. In 2013 Kazakhstan agricultural export to the Customs Union countries (Russia and Ukraine) increased by almost 65% against 2012. According to the Minister of Agriculture Asylzhan Mamytbekov, starting from October Kazakhstan's monthly export of grain and flour in grain equivalent amounts to 1 million tons. This is 33% more that what was shipped off during the same period of 2012. “We plan to bring this year's grain export to 9 million tons.
