Kazakhstan and China increased commodities turnover

Commodities turnover between Kazakhstan and China grew 29.8 percent up in 5 months of 2012, Kapital.kz writes citing press-service of Kazakhstan ministry of Economic Development and Trade. The turnover made $8.7 billion between January to May. The last-year’s value for the same period was $6.7 billion. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan imported more than its exported. A positive balance of the external trade made $3.6 billion in the first 5 months. The main commodities that Kazakhstan supplied to the neighboring country are oil, oil products, ores and iron concentrates, refined copper and copper alloys, nontreated zinc, ferroalloys, as well as other metals and their compounds totally worth over $6 billion. China supplied vehicles, household appliances with spare parts, as well as railroad and tram cars, cell and stationary telephones, pipes and iron profiles, electrodes and carbon brushes, bulldozers, graders, excavators, forklifts, compression machines and pavement rollers. China is one of Kazakhstan’s major economic partners. It leads the rating of Kazakhstan’s partners by the commodities turnover. It is followed by Russia and Italy.
