In January 2013 Kazakhstan produced 6.982 million tons of oil equivalent, including condensed gas, 1.5% up against the like period of 2012, the State Agency for Statistics reports. Crude production for the period under review totaled 5.883 million tons (1.8% up), with condensed gas production standing at 1.099 million tons (0.3% up). Besides, in January Kazakhstan produced 3.63 billion cubic meters of natural gas (1.6% up). Coal production for the period, including coal concentrate, made up 11.166 million tons (0.5% up). Gold production in January totaled 3624 kg (47% up), with silver production reaching 76 690 kg (54.8% up). Petrol production for the period totaled 188 600 tons, 36.8% down as compared to the like period of 2012.
