Over 250 delegates representing national companies, private businesses, financial institutions are expected to attend the event.
“As of today, cooperation between Kazakhstan and France is mostly concentrated in oil and gas, mining, aerospace, nuclear power, banking, and agriculture sectors”, the statement reads.
For the first 9 months of 2014 the bilateral trade turnover figure made up $4.7 billion, with major Kazakhstan’s exports being oil, metals and chemicals. Major imports for the period included industrial equipement, medical products, cosmetics, foodstuffs, aircraft and space vehicles.
Gross inflow of direct investments into Kazakhstan from France has totaled $10.8 billion. The number of JVs operating in Kazakhstan stands at around 150.
