Direct supplies of Caspian gas to Europe are expected by the beginning of 2019, KazTAG reports citing the EU Ambassador to Kazakhstan Aurelia Bouchez. “We are confident that the whole western corridor will be completed by 2018 and the first gas from the Caspian Sea will be supplied to Europe by the beginning of 2019,” Bouchez said at the 21st Kazakhstan International conference KIOGE-2013 on October 2. “We will continue expanding the southern gas corridor. In this relation we are negotiating construction of the trans-Caspian gas pipeline with Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan,” she added.
