Minister of Agriculture of Estonia, Helir-Valdor Seeder, is going to increase export of Estonian milk products to Kazakhstan to boost development of trade relations between the two countries, DELFI.ee reports. "Kazakhstan is a wide market with strong purchasing power, where Estonia could sell its milk products,” Seeder declared at the meeting with his Kazakhstan counterpart, Asylzhan Mamytbekov in Astana. Seeder also said that Estonian farmers produce 60% more milk than their own country demands. For this reason Estonia is interested in searching for new export markets to sell their yogurt, cheese and powdered milk. "We are ready to develop cooperation in milk sector with our counterparts in Kazakhstan," Estonian Minister said. The publication points out that the situation with milk production in Kazakhstan is opposite to the one in Estonia. Kazakhstan produces less milk than it demands.
