Kazakhstan and India are going to sign a nuclear energy cooperation agreement, The Economic Times reports.

Indian Prime-Minister Manmohan Singh will meet Nursultan Nazarbayev during his visit to Kazakhstan on April 15. At least 6 documents (including the energy agreement) are expected to be signed during the meeting.

In early January 2011 Kazakhstan and India signed a $219 million contract on electric power. Kazakh electric power grid operator KEGOC outsourced construction and upgrade of 38 electric power substations in North-Eastern and Southern regions of Kazakhstan to Mumbai-based KEC International.
