Commodity turnover between CU countries grew 41%

Commodity turnover between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan increased by 41 percent in the first six months of 2011, RIA Novosti reports citing Russian PM Vladimir Putin.

“For comparison: in the first six months of 2010 goods turnover of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan made $20.8 billion, while it made $29.3 billion in the first half of 2011,” Prime-Minister of Russia said.

According to Putin, the Customs Unio) countries will have to continue setting up and fine tuning integration tools in the Union and Common Economic Space. Customs facilities stopped controlling movement of goods at the internal borders of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan since July 1, 2011.
