The law provides for improving the licensing system in the field of protection and use of historical and cultural heritage sites. Two types of licenses with a five-year validity period are introduced: one for carrying out scientific and restoration work on historical and cultural monuments, and another for conducting archaeological work.

The legislation also предусматривает the establishment of a National Archaeological Service and a Unified Automated Information System for archaeological activities.

According to earlier information from the Senate’s press service, the law formalizes the creation of a State Fund and a National Depository for mass archaeological finds and materials, clarifies issues related to land allocation and land use for the protection of heritage sites, strengthens the powers of local executive bodies, introduces a distinction between planned and unplanned archaeological work, regulates procedures for the transfer, storage and use of archaeological finds, and sets rules for the use of technical equipment during archaeological research.

In addition, the adopted law includes provisions aimed at improving the activities of supplementary education organizations that provide educational and recreational services for minors.
