Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan’s national passport will soon receive a design update, with the iconic snow leopard set to appear in the new version, officials announced during a government meeting.
According to Acting Minister of Internal Affairs Bauyrzhan Alenov, the ministry is working on enhancing the security features of the country's passport.
“Our citizens can travel visa-free to 43 countries. The passport already meets international standards and includes all necessary security elements. We are now developing additional layers of protection,” Alenov stated.
During his presentation, a preview of the updated passport was shown, revealing the image of a snow leopard — a symbol widely associated with Kazakhstan’s identity, featured in national emblems, sports teams, and cultural organizations.
