Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russian railroads signed agreement

Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Russian Railroads and Belarus Railroad have signed an agreement on delineation of responsibilities for inobservance of periods of temporary import of international transportation vehicles, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy. The document was signed during the 7th International Railroad Business-Forum called Strategic Partnership 1520. President of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Askar Mamin, head of Belarus Railroad Anatoliy Sivak and president of Russia Railroads Vladimir Yakunin signed the agreement. The document was signed for the parties’ compliance with the requirements of the Customs Union (CU) legislation. The agreement will be applied to international transportation vehicles not owned by the CU countries. The party accepting such transport from the territory of the countries that are not CU member-states has to declare it. Besides, after signing the transferring train list the accepting party shall bear liability for compliance with the periods of their temporary import. The agreement also covers other terms of transportation of such vehicles.
