Head of Mangistau Interior Department suggested that policemen with extra weight should resign from law-enforcement authorities, Lada reports citing head of Interior Department Major General Mairkhan Zamanbayev as saying at the meeting on physical training tests related to the coming performance review of Kazakhstan interior authorities. Around 500 officers of Interior Department’s divisions have already passed the tests and physical training exames. The average test results are good, but there have been unsatisfactory results as well. However, the head of Interior Department was outraged by the fact that the some of the employees did not show up for the tests. “The majority of employees will fail the review if it goes on the same way,” he said. According to him, there will be no indulgency even to those who previously showed good results in their work. Those with extra weight will be the priority target. According to Zhamanbayev, there is no place for such in police. Performance review of the officers of Kazakhstan interior authorities will be held in May-June 2012. It will cover 70 thousand of Interior Ministry’s employees. In case of no-show of an officer to the test without a sufficiently good reason, such officer will be fired. Kazakhstan policemen will take a computer test on laws and logic, take a physical and military training and undergo an interview on psychological stability.
