Kazakhstan Parliament has approved the draft law On ratification of the protocol between the governments of Kazakhstan and Turkey on amendments to the protocol between Kazakhstan and Turkey on transfer of property in Kemer district of Antalya province into Kazakhstan ownership, Tengrinews.kz reports.

The document says that Kazakhstan receives the land in the forest with the total area of 67,256 square meters located at the territory of Beldibi village in Kemer district, Antalya province, Turkey. A part of the land with the area of 22,302 square meters will be used for recreation and health-improvement purposes. Another part of the land with the area of 44,954 square meters may be used for tourist purposes.

This Agreement also states that Kazakhstan will transfer some land into Turkish ownership in return. Turkish government will receive two land lots: 7,000 square meters in Aktau and 1,500-2,000 square meters in Almaty. The period of the lands use will make 49 years.

According to deputy head of the Department of Presidential Affairs Sergey Fomichev, Turkey has not yet decided how it is going to use and manage its lands in Kazakhstan.

“As far as I know, the Turkish party has not decided yet. They don’t have any certain solution for what to do on these land lots,” Fomichev said.
