Ms. Zhanar Aitzhanova has been appointed Minister of Economic Integration, Tengrinews.kz reports. “I’ve met Head of State. He has decided to appoint Ms. Zhanar Aitzhanova to the position of the Minister of Economic Integration”, Kazakhstan’s PM Karim Massimov wrote on his Twitter account. He also specified that there is no need to establish a new ministry [of Economic Integration]: the new Minister would be working in a new working body within the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. President Nazarbayev signed a respective decree April 16, his official web site informs. Earlier Ms. Zhanar Aitzhanova headed the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. April 11 Mr. Kairat Kelimbetov was relieved of his duties in his capacity of the Chairman of the Board at Samruk Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund and was appointed the new Minister of Economic Development and Trade.
