Tengrinews.kz - The President of Kazakhstan arrived in Kyrgyzstan on an official visit. He was given a ceremonial welcome at Manas International Airport, citing Akorda.
For Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s arrival, an improvised yurt village was set up at the airport in Bishkek. He was greeted by young women in traditional Kyrgyz attire and horsemen dressed as batyrs.

A red carpet stretched from the aircraft to the terminal, where Tokayev was personally received by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov. The Kazakh leader was presented with a bouquet of red roses and offered to taste traditional baursaks.

Meanwhile, inside the airport, an orchestra of national instruments performed.

At the airport entrance, flags of both countries were displayed along with a billboard welcoming the President of Kazakhstan in both Kazakh and Kyrgyz.

On August 21, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Kyrgyzstan on an official visit. The two leaders will hold bilateral talks and take part in the seventh meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The program includes a number of events, such as the official opening ceremony of the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Osh, the opening of a branch of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, the Days of Kazakh Cinema in Kyrgyzstan, and the 3rd Kyrgyz-Kazakh Youth Forum in Bishkek. In addition, Tokayev and Japarov will inaugurate the Golden Bridge of Friendship monument in Yntymak Park.
As previously reported, President Tokayev would be in Kyrgyzstan on an official visit from August 21 to 22. To ensure security and order during the official events in Bishkek, around 3,500 police officers have been deployed.
