Tengrinews.kz - A yurt, which has already become a favorite spot for miners, was installed in the Zhezkazgan mine, at a depth of 650 meters. The idea's author, miner Akbeysen Kaiyrbekov, plans to turn the ethnodome into a small museum, reports Tengri Life, citing 24KZ.
The yurt was installed at the "Zhomart" mine, located 200 kilometers from Zhezkazgan. Around a thousand miners work here on a rotational basis. Akbeysen Kaiyrbekov, who has been working at the mine since its launch, says he wanted to create a corner of home comfort.
"We work 12-hour shifts. Lunch is from 1 to 2 p.m. This time is meant to be spent in a clean place, having a good meal. Our yurt is located seven floors underground. The work of a miner is tough. Here, they can feel the comfort of their home for a while," says Akbeysen Kaiyrbekov, the head of the "Zhomart" mine section.
The miners decorated the yurt with Kazakh national instruments, portraits of famous khans and heroes, as well as veterans who contributed to the development of the region's industry. There is also a chair designed in the Khan style.
In addition to the yurt, Akbeysen Kaiyrbekov has implemented several other projects. In the future, he plans to transform a small area of the mine into a green park. Many fruit trees have already been planted, and statues of various animals and birds have been installed. All of this was done by the miner in his free time.
