As of today WTO member states account for over ½ of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover. Kazakhstan has completed bilateral talks with 24 WTO member states on access to Kazakhstan’s market for goods and services. Talks are at the final stage with the USA, EU, Saudi Arabia, Grigory Marchenko, Head of the National Bank, said in an on-line conference arranged by Profinance.kz. “Bringing the national legislation in line with the WTO key agreements should enhance competitive edge of the locally-produced goods. Introduction of globally accepted standards when developing technical regulations will assist domestically-produced goods to enter external markets”, Head of the National Bank said.
