Will Kazakhstan President attend Paris Olympics opening ceremony

Tengrinews.kz - Berik Uali, advisor and press secretary to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has confirmed that the President will not attend the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

"The President's schedule does not include participation in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris," Uali stated.

The opening ceremony for the 2024 Summer Olympics is scheduled for July 26, 2024, in Paris. A total of 80 athletes from Kazakhstan were able to qualify for the 2024 Olympics in 25 sports.

"All of you have put in an incredible effort to win a trip to these Olympics. I am convinced you will show your best form and achieve good results. All of Kazakhstan will support you," the Head of State said.

Earlier, President Tokayev solemnly handed the flag of the country to the captain of the national team of Kazakhstan, participating in the XXXІІІІ Summer Olympic Games.
