Tengrinews.kz - The zoo reported that wild mallard ducks have been arriving in Almaty for wintering for many years.

"We feed waterfowl twice a day: in the morning and in the evening. Our waterfowl's diet includes compound feed, oats, wheat, millet, bread, millet, carrots, cabbage, and lettuce," the zoo said in a statement.
The zoo staff says that the pets - mountain geese, swans, and mute swans - eat first, and the wild ducks wait patiently behind and swim up to the feeder only after.
