Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded poets, writers, and artists with the Abai State Prize in literature and art.
The Head of State signed a decree granting the 2024 State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of literature and art, named after Abai.
The awardees include:
- Nurzhan Svetkali, poet, for his poetry collection "Kokiregim kone kitap";
- Ergobek Kulbek Sarsenuly, writer, for his book "Adamnyn bir kyzygy bala degen";
- Alibai Kaltaevich Bapanov and Saule Syzdykovna Bapanova, for their collaborative work on the felt panel collection "Koshpendi freskalar" and the tapestry collection "Alem ornekteri";
- Zhanuzak Kerimbekuly Musapir, artist, for his collection of works "Balalyktan danalykka zhol."
Earlier, ahead of Republic Day, the President also signed a decree awarding several citizens for their significant contributions to the socio-economic and cultural-spiritual development of the country, as well as fostering friendship and cooperation between nations. The honorees included prominent figures in education, healthcare, culture, and science, as well as representatives from various sectors such as business, the military, law enforcement, sports, and labor veterans.
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended the festive concert "Kasterli Otan - Kazakhstan" dedicated to the Republic Day.
