Tengrinews.kz - The year is coming to an end, which means it's time to look at the results of the year for traffic violations among Kazakhstani drivers.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, over 11 million 478 thousand traffic violations have been identified since the beginning of the year.
The leaders in the number of violations were the three largest cities in the country - Almaty, Astana and Shymkent, as well as the Turkestan and Almaty regions.
The largest number of cases was recorded:
- in Almaty - over 3 million 582 thousand cases;
- in Astana - over 1 million 433 thousand;
- in Shymkent - over 850 thousand.
The main violation was speeding. In 2024, 5 million 681 thousand cases of this type of offense occurred, which is almost half of the total.
