Tengrinews.kz - Minister of Energy Almassadam Satkaliyev commented on plans to build another oil refinery.
He also named the location where, tentatively, another refinery may appear.
"The plans include the construction of a fourth refinery after 2030. It is clear that the final decision on the construction of the refinery will be influenced by preliminary factors. The pace of electrification of transport, the pace of consumption, our export capabilities - we plan to sell part of the products for export. This will not just be an oil refinery, it will be an entire gas chemical complex. The preliminary site is Western Kazakhstan," Satkaliyev said at a briefing in the Mazhilis.
