Daytime temperatures will fluctuate between +15…+20°C and +30…+38°C. In southern districts, air temperatures may climb as high as +40…+45°C on certain days. During cold fronts, heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and squally winds are expected. Night frosts remain possible in the north, east, and mountainous areas.

July: moderate heat and uneven rainfall

July is expected to be moderately hot. Average temperatures will align with the climate norm across most of Kazakhstan (the norm being +18...+24°C in most of the country, +25...+30°C in the southern half, and +9...+17°C in the mountainous regions of the southeast and east).

A higher temperature background will persist in southern regions, while figures in the eastern and southeastern mountains will remain significantly lower. Precipitation will be distributed unevenly, depending on regional terrain and air mass circulation.

August: intensifying heat in most regions

In August, air temperatures across a significant portion of the country will exceed the norm by 1–2 degrees. In the southeast, values will stay close to long-term averages.

Hot spells will persist across most of Kazakhstan, particularly in the central and western regions.

Summer precipitation: where to expect drought in Kazakhstan

Overall, the summer will see moderate precipitation; however, several regions will receive less than the seasonal norm.

In June, a rainfall deficit is expected in the southwest and parts of the north and center. In July, dry conditions are likely in the west, south, and southeast. In August, below-average precipitation is forecasted for the southwest, the center, and certain districts in the east.
