Tengrinews.kz – Following the talks between Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, a ceremony was held to exchange signed bilateral documents, according to the Akorda press service.

Members of the official delegations exchanged the following documents:

  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Bulgaria on the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route;
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the city of Astana and the city of Sofia;
  • Memorandum on the establishment of sister city relations between the city of Shymkent and the city of Plovdiv;
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria;
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan LLP and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Earlier today, President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev was welcomed at Akorda as part of his official visit to Astana.

During the closed-format talks, Rumen Radev expressed his gratitude to the Head of State for the warm reception. He emphasized his high regard for the level of partnership between the two countries and expressed hopes for expanded cooperation in all areas of the bilateral agenda.
