Medical liability insurance
Starting in October, professional liability insurance for medical workers will be introduced. The relevant order was signed by the Minister of Healthcare on July 24. Under the new regulations, healthcare entities will enter into insurance contracts to cover medical professionals' responsibilities.
Changes in debt collection agencies
New rules for debt collection agencies will come into effect on October 1. These rules require agencies to notify debtors within 30 days of acquiring rights to claim debts, informing them of their right to request changes to the terms of their obligations.
Increased train ticket prices
Train ticket prices will rise in Kazakhstan, affecting 62 of the 140 existing routes. The Ministry of Transport has stated that this increase is necessary for renewing the rolling stock, improving service quality, and raising employee wages.
Support for businesses
New regulations regarding state support for businesses will take effect on October 4. The government resolution includes measures for subsidizing coupon rates for bonds issued by entrepreneurs, guaranteeing loans/financial leasing, and providing investment grants aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of small businesses.
New exporter rules
Simplified rules for reimbursement of expenses for exporters will be implemented starting October 3. The new regulations streamline documentation requirements, introduce new expense categories, update the list of reimbursable goods, and set reimbursement limits based on the level of processing.
New holidays
This October will mark the introduction of three new holidays in Kazakhstan: October 1 will be celebrated as Day of Higher Education Workers and Radio Day, while October 14 will be recognized as the Day of Standardization Workers.
Repair at Atyrau Oil Refinery
A scheduled preventive maintenance at the Atyrau Oil Refinery is set from October 1 to 25. A similar maintenance was also conducted in October last year.
Work and school schedule
In October, employees with a five-day work schedule, along with students, will have 22 working days and 9 days off. In addition to weekends, there will be a holiday on October 25 for Republic Day, which commemorates the Declaration of State Sovereignty by the Supreme Council of Kazakhstan in 1990.
Kazakhstan's national football league
The Kazakhstan national football team will continue its campaign in the League of Nations in October. Currently, they sit at the bottom of Group 3 in League "B" with just one point. On October 10, they will play against Austria, followed by a match against Slovenia on October 13.
Weather forecast
October and November will see a gradual transition from autumn to winter, with overall lower temperatures compared to previous years. Precipitation is expected to be at or above normal levels in most regions, with exceptions in the southwest and central parts of the country, where it will be below normal.
