Weather alert issued for Astana and Almaty residents

Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet warned residents of Astana, Almaty and other cities in different regions of the country.

"On March 31, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions of air pollution are expected in the cities of Pavlodar, Karaganda, Zhezkazgan, Balkhash, Temirtau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Ridder, Semey, Almaty, Astana," the report says.

Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion), which contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the surface layer of atmospheric air.

On March 31, the capital is expected to have variable cloudiness, no precipitation. South-east wind changing to south-west at 3-8 meters per second. Air temperature at night from -1 to -3°C, during the day from +10 to +12°C.
