Chief imam of Nur Astana Central Mosque suggested that the United States have their benefits from including Kazakhstan into the specially designated countries list, Tengrinews.kz reports. “Last year Kazakhstan chaired the OSCE. This year Astana has hosted such a large event as the meeting of the Foreign Ministers’ Council of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Nobody gave this right to us just for nothing. This means that Kazakhstan complies with the requirements: under economic values and under values of unity and peace. We have become an example for a whole world. I would say that America’s decision is fully opposite to the reality. This is a political issue. Perhaps, they benefit from it. Is there a more peaceful country than Kazakhstan?” the imam said on July 25 at the press-conference timed to the coming holy month of Ramazan.
