Tengrinews.kz – The Special Representative of U.S. President Donald Trump for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor, and U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Marco Rubio – Christopher Landau have arrived in Almaty, according to a statement from Akorda.

Tengrinews.kz – The Special Representative of U.S. President Donald Trump for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor, and U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Marco Rubio – Christopher Landau have arrived in Almaty, according to a statement from Akorda.

The visit’s program includes a series of meetings to discuss the prospects of Kazakh-American relations, as well as international and regional issues.

“In Almaty, Sergio Gor and Christopher Landau met with representatives of the business community and heads of American companies operating in Kazakhstan,” the statement said.

The delegation also visited the Almaty Museum of Arts, the Shymbulak ski resort, and the Medeu high-mountain skating rink.

The distinguished guests were accompanied by Aibek Dadebai, Head of the Presidential Administration.

As a reminder, earlier the U.S. State Department press service reported that Special Representative for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor and U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau would visit Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The statement noted that the senior American diplomats would visit these countries from October 26 to 30.
