Tengrinews.kz – A list of dead miners at the Zhomart mine in the Zhanaarka district of Ulytau Region has appeared.
On Monday, February 17, a rock mass collapsed at the Zhomart mine, owned by Kazakhmys Corporation. As a result of the incident, seven mine workers were left behind. Later, information appeared about the death of all the miners. The youngest was 26 years old.
List of dead miners:
- Akshalov Kairat Amanbekovich, born in 1975, pump installation operator
- Zhakubaev Ardak Boranbaevich, born in 1998, underground mining supervisor
- Zhumadullaev Bakytbek Nyshanovich, born in 1975, underground miner
- Kenzhebekov Orynbek Amirhanuly, born in 1991, loading and hauling machine operator
- Moldabekov Galimzhan Yesenbekovich, born in 1978, blast hole driller’s assistant
- Nuruldaev Olzhas Zagalbaevich, born in 1979, underground power engineer
- Rozhkov Konstantin Vladimirovich, born in 1992, underground mining equipment electrician-fitter
On Monday, February 17, a mine collapse occurred at the Zhomart mine in the Zhanaarka district of Ulytau Region, which is operated by Kazakhmys Corporation, leaving seven workers trapped.
Earlier it was reported that the forces and means of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ulytau Karaganda regions, including canine teams, medical workers of the Center for Disaster Medicine and psychologists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, are involved in the emergency rescue operations. Operational headquarters have been deployed at the Command Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ulytau region, and a hotline has been organized at the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
At the request of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, a special commission has been created to investigate the causes and provide assistance to victims of the mine collapse in the Zhanaarkinsky district of the Ulytau region. The commission is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev. He was instructed to immediately go to the scene of the emergency to coordinate the work of government agencies and organizations.
