Tengrinews.kz - Due to worsening weather conditions, traffic restrictions have been introduced on two sections of highways.
According to QazAvtoZhol, the restrictions apply to all types of transport on the following sections:
- Karaganda - Ayagoz - Tarbagatai - Bugaz, from the 383rd to the 528th kilometer. The estimated opening time of the road is February 5 at 6 AM.
- Almaty - Taldykorgan - Ust-Kamenogorsk - Shemonaikha - Russian border, from the 557th to the 315th kilometer. The estimated opening time of the road is February 4 at 11 PM.
Drivers are advised to plan routes taking into account the restrictions and exercise caution on the roads.
Earlier, we wrote about which highways will become toll roads in Kazakhstan.
According to Marat Karabayev, three sections of the republican highways will become toll roads.
"We have completed the Karaganda-Almaty road. Tolls will be gradually introduced on this section. We are completing the Kurty-Konayev road this year, and tolls will also be introduced on it. We are also completing the Kyzylorda-Uralsk road, and tolls will also be introduced on it, but only for trucks that are engaged in business," Karabayev said.
