Traffic on highways restricted in two regions

Tengrinews.kz - According to QazAvtoZhol, due to worsening weather conditions in the Karaganda and Akmola regions, traffic has been temporarily restricted on several sections of national highways.

Restrictions have been introduced in:

Karaganda region

• From 4 PM on March 6, a section of the Astana-Karaganda-Almaty highway from the 1505th to the 1610th kilometer (Atameken village - Aksu-Ayuly village) is closed;
• From 5 PM on March 6, a section from the 1353rd to the 1426th kilometer (border of Akmola region - Temirtau toll collection point) is closed.

Akmola region

• From 5 PM March 6 section from 1291st to 1353rd kilometer (Zhibek Zholy toll plaza – Karaganda region border).

Opening of traffic is expected on March 7 at 7 AM, but the timing may change depending on weather conditions.

Drivers are advised to plan their route in advance and follow updates.
