Tokayev’s visit to Washington: multibillion-dollar deals signed

Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to further strengthening its strategic partnership with the United States, according to Akorda.

“I highly appreciate your consistent support in developing multifaceted cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States. During your first presidential term in the White House, our relations were legally formalized at the level of an Expanded Strategic Partnership. The U.S., having invested more than 100 billion dollars, is the largest investor in our economy, acting as a kind of perpetual engine for it. Trade between our countries has doubled in recent years, reaching nearly 5 billion dollars. We provide almost 25 percent of the domestic uranium demand in America. More than 600 U.S. companies operate in Kazakhstan,” the Head of State said.

According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during his current visit to the United States, companies from both countries signed deals worth more than 17 billion dollars.

Overall, the potential of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States — covering such key areas as energy, critical minerals, industry, transportation, finance, artificial intelligence, and education — exceeds half a trillion dollars.

The President urged American companies to take advantage of the unique opportunities created in Kazakhstan, assuring investors of his personal support.
