Tengrinews.kz – President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the Ata-Beyit National Historical and Memorial Complex in Bishkek.
It was reported that President Tokayev’s official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic began with a visit to the Ata-Beyit National Historical and Memorial Complex.

“Here lie the glorious sons of the Kyrgyz people who dedicated their lives to serving their homeland, as well as victims of Stalin’s repressions. The name of the complex, Ata-Beyit, was proposed by writer Chingiz Aitmatov,” the statement said.
The Head of State laid flowers at the monument to the victims of the tragic events of 1916, located on the territory of the memorial complex.

Tokayev’s visit to Kyrgyzstan
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Kyrgyzstan on August 21 for an official visit. At Manas International Airport, the Kazakh leader was greeted personally by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.
On August 22, bilateral talks will be held in Bishkek. The presidents will also take part in the 7th meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The program includes a number of events, such as the official opening ceremony of the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Osh, the opening of a branch of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, the Days of Kazakh Cinema in Kyrgyzstan, and the 3rd Kyrgyz-Kazakh Youth Forum in Bishkek. In addition, Tokayev and Japarov will inaugurate the Golden Bridge of Friendship monument in Yntymak Park.
