Tengrinews.kz - On October 23, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev delivered a speech in Astana during the ceremonial awarding of state honors on the occasion of Republic Day, according to a message from the Akorda.
The head of state emphasized that peace and progress begin with upbringing in the family, cleanliness on the streets, and harmony in society. That is why he constantly speaks about the dictatorship of law and order in his addresses.
"This is our fundamental principle that must be rooted in society. The law protects the rights and freedoms of citizens and ensures order. Of course, there will be those dissatisfied with strict laws, but those who want to live without consequences are acting against the interests of the people and the country. The state will continue to implement the principle of 'zero tolerance' for offenses and will vigorously combat hooliganism and organized crime," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The President emphasized that only mutual support and solidarity, along with a commitment to high goals, will enhance our country's reputation and make our turquoise passport recognizable and esteemed.
"We must treat each other with respect and care. People expect justice in all areas, and everyone should start with themselves. On this holiday, it's important to acknowledge the contributions of the first President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who played a key role in shaping Kazakh statehood. His contributions should not be forgotten, as they are important for our future. To fairly assess today, we must also judge the past correctly," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed.
Tokayev reiterated that Kazakhstan's achievements are a collective success of the entire nation. He then awarded high honors and state prizes to a group of citizens whose contributions were recognized on the eve of Republic Day.
