Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev delivered a speech at the dialogue platform of rural akims. The Head of State reminded that he had instructed the government, together with the National Bank and the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, to take concrete measures to improve the economy.
Along with rural akims, members of the government and regional governors were present in the hall.
“As you know, I instructed the government, together with the National Bank and the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, to take concrete measures to stabilize the economy. In this regard, last week a joint action program was adopted on macroeconomic stabilization and improving the well-being of the population for the next three years. The measures outlined in it must be implemented efficiently and on time,” Tokayev said.
He emphasized that regional akims should “actively participate in this work and submit well-considered proposals to the government.”
“We face the following important tasks: ensuring sustainable and high-quality economic growth, improving the quality of life by reducing inflation and increasing household incomes, developing the private sector to boost production, and expanding exports of finished goods,” Tokayev said.
The Head of State noted that in the context of global instability and uncertainty, Kazakhstan may face many other challenges. He reminded that “in some countries, issues of sovereignty and territorial integrity remain unresolved and are becoming subjects of sharp international disputes.”
“The role of the United Nations has weakened, and the global economy is experiencing difficult times. That is why we must remain united, act with foresight, take care of the younger generation, provide it with proper upbringing, and avoid internal discord. Ultimately, our common and most important task is to effectively serve the interests of our country. The sovereignty, autonomy, and independence of Kazakhstan are above all. As President, I will make every effort to preserve the core values of our nation,” Tokayev said.
