Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulatory telegram to the Sultan of Oman, according to Akorda.
The Head of State congratulated Haitham bin Tariq Al Said and the people of Oman on the National Day of the Sultanate. The telegram notes that Kazakhstan considers Oman one of its most reliable and important partners in the Arab world and the Middle East.
“The Head of State also emphasized that relations between Astana and Muscat, built on ties of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, rest on a solid foundation and have great potential,” the statement says.
Tokayev wished Haitham bin Tariq Al Said success in his responsible state duties, and the people of Oman – well-being and prosperity.
Oman’s National Day is an annual public holiday dedicated to the birthday of Sultan Qaboos bin Said, who ruled the country from 1970 to 2020 and is regarded as the architect of modern Oman. The day is marked with a military parade, decorations of homes and streets with flags, portraits and lights, as well as celebrations featuring camel races and fireworks.
