The President of Kazakhstan sent a congratulatory telegram to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of India’s Republic Day.
“In his message, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that under the wise leadership of the Prime Minister, the country is confidently moving forward, achieving significant success in economic development and improving the standard of living of its citizens,” the Akorda press service stated.
The important role of India on the international stage was also emphasized.
The President of Kazakhstan wished Narendra Modi success in his state activities, and the friendly people of India wellbeing and prosperity.
It is worth noting that in September 2025, a photograph emerged from the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Xinjiang showing Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Narendra Modi, and the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon together.
Immediately after that meeting, Modi published a post on his X (formerly Twitter) page:
“A productive exchange of views with President of Kazakhstan Tokayev. Our countries closely cooperate in many key sectors, including energy, security, healthcare and pharmaceuticals.”
