Welcoming the guest, the President noted that his visit was a continuation of the agreements reached in Washington and an important step toward deepening multifaceted cooperation with the United States.

Tokayev emphasized that with the arrival of President Donald Trump’s administration, Washington’s engagement with Astana and the Central Asian region has become noticeably more active.

“We fully support the bold vision and pragmatic approach of the U.S. President to diplomacy. Kazakhstan plays an active role in promoting key American initiatives, including the Abraham Accords, the Peace Council, the TRIPP initiative and other projects. Taken together, these efforts have given new momentum to our expanded strategic partnership, which is now stronger than ever. Your visit is taking place at a time of deep political and economic transformation in Kazakhstan. These reforms are aimed at transitioning our country from a resource-dependent model to a diversified, knowledge-based economy. Your corporation’s investment priorities closely align with Kazakhstan’s development agenda, and we are ready for practical and mutually beneficial cooperation,” the President of Kazakhstan said.

Ben Black thanked him for the warm welcome and noted the productivity of the meetings held in Almaty with Kazakhstan’s business community.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of these meetings in the context of strengthening bilateral relations, paying particular attention to the need to translate the agreements reached into practical action.

“The Head of State confirmed Kazakhstan’s readiness for the substantive implementation of joint investment projects. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in critical minerals, transport connectivity, the agro-industrial complex, digitalization and artificial intelligence,” Akorda’s press service noted.

The issue of opening a permanent office of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation in Kazakhstan was also considered separately.

As a reminder, on June 10, the President of Kazakhstan received Sergio Gor, Special Envoy of the U.S. President for South and Central Asia. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev confirmed Kazakhstan’s readiness to contribute to strengthening international stability and promoting humanitarian initiatives.

Sergio Gor thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the opportunity to meet and conveyed greetings from President Donald Trump.

“I can assure you that you have a friend in the White House. President Trump highly appreciates your work. We strive to find mutually beneficial solutions in the interests of our countries. This is also evidenced by the growing dynamics of contacts between the United States and the states of the region. Over the past year alone, agreements have been reached and deals worth more than $20 billion have been concluded, and I am confident this is only the beginning. We are also pleased with your participation in the G20 summit at the end of the year,” the special envoy emphasized.

Following the meeting, mutual interest in deepening multifaceted Kazakh-American cooperation was confirmed.
