Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has replaced the Commander of the Air Force of the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces.
"By order of the Head of State, Ruslan Kunurov has been relieved of his position as Commander of the Air Force of the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the statement reads.
By another presidential order, Askar Izbassov has been appointed Commander of the Air Force of the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces.
Earlier, the Head of State dismissed Bakytbek Sydykov from his position as Deputy Minister of Defense.
As a reminder, on June 8, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev appointed a new Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan. The position was given to Dauren Kosanov. Prior to his appointment, Dauren Kosanov served as Deputy Minister of Defense and Commander-in-Chief of the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
