The President of Kazakhstan met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who arrived in Astana on a working visit.
Welcoming the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation in the spirit of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership. As was emphasized, this is largely facilitated by regular political dialogue at the highest level, as well as the coordinated work of the governments and parliaments of the two countries.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to preparations for the upcoming state visit of the Russian President to Kazakhstan.
"We are seriously preparing for this visit. We believe that this will be a landmark event in our interstate relations. Our relations are exemplary and are developing dynamically. The upcoming visit will give additional impetus to our strategic partnership and alliance," Tokayev said.
