Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Minister of Industry and Construction Yersayin Nagaspaev, according to the press service of Akorda.
The Head of State heard a report on the results of the ministry's activities for 2024 and plans for the coming period.
As Yersayin Nagaspaev reported, in the industrial sector, according to the results of last year, the greatest growth was achieved in investments in fixed assets and exports of processed products. This year, it is planned to consolidate the growth trend and increase production volumes.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the work in the fields of geology and digitalization. According to the minister, a unified subsoil use platform has been launched, urban development projects have been digitized, it is planned to introduce a single utility bill to the village level, and a geological exploration database is being formed using artificial intelligence.
"Following the meeting, the President set a number of priority tasks for the Minister. He was instructed to increase the output of products of medium and high processing stages, create a single register of domestic manufacturers this year, and strengthen efforts to attract investors. It is also important to ensure the construction of the planned volume of housing, provide maximum coverage of the population with water supply, and digitalize processes in the field of construction and housing and communal services," the Akorda statement said.
The Ministry will also have to promptly commission manufacturing facilities and carry out high-quality and timely reforms in the field of subsoil use.
"The Head of State especially emphasized the need to keep issues of supporting domestic manufacturers under strict control," the press service noted.
