Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the credentials of newly appointed ambassadors from seven countries during a formal ceremony held in Astana, according to a statement from Akorda.
On April 17, a credential presentation ceremony took place at the Akorda residence, where the following ambassadors presented their letters of credence to the President of Kazakhstan:
- Alexey Bogdanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus
- Piyapin Niyomrerks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand
- Stefan Gorda, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova
- Thit Linn Ohn, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar
- Peter Mutuku Mathuki, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya
- Blerta Kadzadej, Ambassador of the Republic of Albania
- Antonello De Riu, Ambassador of the Italian Republic
President Tokayev congratulated the diplomats on the official start of their mission in Kazakhstan and assured them of comprehensive support from the Kazakh side.
“Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan pursues a peaceful and multi-vector foreign policy. He noted that in international relations, it is essential to adhere to the principles of dialogue, cooperation, and the UN Charter,” the Akorda press service stated.
Previously, President Tokayev received credentials from the new ambassadors of Japan, China, and Austria.
