The ratification of these agreements strengthens cooperation between Kazakhstan and Morocco in the criminal sphere: the two countries will be able to more effectively prosecute fugitives, protect citizens’ rights, and exchange necessary information.

Earlier, Parliament noted that the approved laws enhance the legal interaction between the two states, aim to ensure public safety, and regulate procedures for extradition, transfer of convicted persons, and the provision of legal assistance. The documents establish rules for extradition between the competent authorities of both countries.

They also address issues of amnesty, pardon, and transit of transferred individuals.

The agreement on mutual legal assistance provides for the prompt exchange of evidence and information, which should accelerate the investigation of criminal cases.
