A meeting between the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Italy Giorgia Meloni took place at the "Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week."
"Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Giorgia Meloni on her birthday, wishing her success in her government activities for the benefit of the further prosperity of the friendly people of Italy. The President warmly recalled his official visit to Rome last year, which marked a new stage in the development of Kazakh-Italian relations," the press service of Akorda said in a statement.

In order to maintain a high level of interstate cooperation, the Head of State confirmed his invitation to George Meloni to visit Astana on an official visit.
Earlier, on January 13, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in the United Arab Emirates on a working visit. On January 14, the Head of State spoke at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week summit, which brought together leading world leaders and experts to discuss global challenges of sustainable development.
The President of Kazakhstan held a meeting with the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Qasr Al Shatie Palace. Tokayev noted that the UAE is our key partner in the Arab world.
In addition, the Head of State held meetings with representatives of Arab companies. During his working visit to the UAE, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also took part in a meeting with experts on the development of artificial intelligence. More details here.
During his speech at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week summit, the President noted that the world is currently facing a number of critical issues, such as climate change, desertification, biodiversity loss, water shortages, and food security. These challenges are compounded by geopolitical tensions and disruptions to global supply chains.
