Tengrinews.kz - Within the framework of the World Climate Summit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the President of North Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, according to Akorda.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the importance of North Macedonia as an important partner of Kazakhstan in Europe and expressed a desire to strengthen cooperation in priority areas.
Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, in turn, thanked the President of Kazakhstan for his contribution to bilateral relations and emphasized the potential for further strengthening of cooperation. She highly appreciated the role of Kazakhstan in the international arena as a middle power.
The interlocutors paid special attention to the prospects for deepening cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres, as well as simplification of the visa regime for citizens of both countries. An agreement was reached on developing contacts between the business circles of Kazakhstan and North Macedonia.
At the end of the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova to visit Kazakhstan.
Earlier, the Head of State held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
On November 11, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Baku on a working visit. During the visit, the President of Kazakhstan held meetings with heads of state, heads of international organizations and representatives of business structures.
The Head of State also spoke at the World Leaders Climate Action Summit, which is being held as part of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The first to speak after the opening of the plenary session was the President of Kazakhstan.
