Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with special representative for Afghanistan, Yerkin Tukumov, according to Akorda.
The Head of State emphasized the special role of the special representative amid the development of bilateral contacts with the current Afghan authorities. Tukumov was tasked with facilitating effective cooperation with Afghanistan, primarily in the trade, economic, and humanitarian spheres.
The President also stressed the importance of actively utilizing the capabilities of the UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan, located in Almaty.
According to Tokayev, Kazakhstan intends to continue implementing humanitarian and educational initiatives to ensure the security and stability of Afghanistan.
