Tokayev expressed gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who also serves as Prime Minister, for supporting the One Water Summit in Riyadh. The president emphasized his confidence that the summit, co-chaired by Kazakhstan and France, will significantly contribute to advancing the global environmental agenda.
The meeting coincided with the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia. Tokayev highlighted the countries' achievements in building a trusting political dialogue, establishing a solid legal framework, and implementing several investment projects over the past three decades.
Discussions focused on enhancing trade, economic, and investment cooperation, particularly in energy, oil and gas, transportation, and logistics.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized Kazakhstan's importance as a key partner for Saudi Arabia in Central Asia, pointing to extensive opportunities for advancing bilateral trade and economic ties.
The leaders also exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues.
Earlier, President Tokayev arrived in Saudi Arabia for a working visit.
