Tengrinews.kz - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, according to a statement from Akorda.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the mutual visits of the presidents last year gave a significant boost to the comprehensive development of Kazakh-Armenian relations.

"Your first official visit to Astana is important in terms of advancing our partnership. We have great respect for the Armenian people and your country," the President emphasized.
President Tokayev stated that Kazakhstan welcomes the completion of negotiations on the draft peace agreement and the establishment of interstate relations between Yerevan and Baku. According to him, this milestone event will pave the way for lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and will contribute to strengthening security and fostering cooperation in the region, both with Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries.

In turn, the Armenian diplomat expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome.
"We share your vision of strategic partnership between our countries in many ways," said Ararat Mirzoyan.
He added that the foreign ministries and other agencies of Armenia and Kazakhstan are working on implementing the agreements reached during Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's official visit to Yerevan last year.

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for developing bilateral relations in trade, investment, transport, and logistics, as well as cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The President of Kazakhstan announced that domestic businesses are ready to increase supplies to Armenia by $350 million.

Earlier, it was reported that Azerbaijan and Armenia had agreed on a peace deal.
