Tengrinews.kz – The head of state received Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of Ho Chi Minh Academy Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, according to Akorda.
During the conversation, the Head of State noted that today Kazakh-Vietnamese relations are developing on the rise. The President warmly recalled his official visit to Vietnam last year. The negotiations held during this visit gave a serious impetus to bilateral cooperation.
The President called Vietnam a key partner of our country in Southeast Asia. According to him, Kazakhstan is ready to continue making efforts for the sake of comprehensive strengthening of bilateral relations, especially in the trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also stressed the importance of intensifying inter-parliamentary cooperation in order to exchange experience in legislative support for the socio-economic development of both countries.
Nguyen Xuan Thang noted that the Political Bureau of the Central Committee and the National Assembly of the country are actively working to implement the agreements that were reached at the highest level during the visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Vietnam.
He believes that the countries have similar views and successfully interact at multilateral venues, including the United Nations (UN) and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between The Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies and Ho Chi Minh Academy. He emphasized that this document can give a good impetus to joint scientific research.
Taking this opportunity, the Head of our state invited the President of Vietnam Luong Cuong to visit Kazakhstan next year and combine his visit with participation in the Astana International Forum.
